Light & Contrast
These shots were part of an exploration building a digital studio for lighting furniture. We needed a bright studio with rich contrast lighting, exposing the details in material and construction of the product. The focus was on creating shots which have no boundaries, no ceiling or floors, this resulted in a style of imagery which is light and simple but highly detailed.
Refraction
In order to explore how light refracts through translucent materials we set up a contrasty scene. A single spotlight and environment were used to light a coloured resin chair, refracting the colours of the material, highlighting imperfections in the materials and reflecting the environment and other objects. All to enhance realism in digital imagery. Perfect imperfection.
